It was a long but great weekend of football in the EastBay. When I woke up Monday morning I was exhausted and behind on work, but it was worth it.
If you are not from the west coast, or have never thought about what it means to watch football in the Pacific Standard Time zone, then [...]

After a morning of sitting on my couch watching college football, I decided to get off my butt. So I went to a local (Oakland) Mexican restaurant I frequently go to for sporting events (5 big High Def TV’s, and great drinks and food) to sit on my butt. My girlfriend and I were [...]

It was a little hard for me to get out of bed after a night of celebration following Cal’s dominating win over Arizona; but when my girlfriend told me the San Francisco 49ers were losing to the Pittsburg Steelers, and that she was in the middle of making eggs, sausages, and pancakes, getting out of bed [...]

The Oakland Raiders defense caused turnovers when they needed to, and the offense held the ball long enough to give the defense breathers, but the Raiders are still not playing at the level I know they can. The offensive line is performing as well as I predicted in the preseason (thanks to o-line Coach Tom [...]

I am pleasantly surprised to see Jeremy Newberry healthy enough to be listed questionable. He looked like he suffered a season ending hamstring injury week-1, but now it looks like he might be able to still contribute this season. I believe the Raiders need Newberry’s presence, healthy or not.
So I guess Josh McCown’s starting again [...]

My cat and I were pretty tired, and a little irritated after a stressful overtime loss to the Denver Broncos last Sunday, but I think she might have taken the loss a little harder than me. She got me to laugh after the game, but now I’m just glad my girlfriend grabbed the camera [...]

A couple of surprise names showed up today on the Oakland Raiders weekly Wednesday injury report. Inside Bay Area reported not seeing Derrick Burgess anywhere on the practice field, and on what happens to most running backs after big games.
Derrick Burgess was not on the practice field or rehabbing with injured players during the media window Wednesday [...]

I love the fall season (is it fall yet? it feels like fall), because I get to spend the better part of it watching football. Though I was not too surprised by the results from any of the NCAA Division-1 or NFL scoreboards, it was still another great weekend of football.
On Saturday USC beat the [...]

My week 2 notes for the Oakland Raiders’ pathetic first-half against the Denver Broncos.
I have no idea what is going on.
Josh McCown is not healthy enough to be on that field. Is Daunte Culpepper such a bad alternative to a banged-up McCown?
What the hell is going on with the defense!!!??? Every single Bronco third-down [...]
