Waitaminute…you’re saying that the Raiders need a Dennis Green or Jim Fassell to run the team? You’re smoking from the East Oakland crack pipe. If Al is going to continue running the Raiders show, he needs to groom a head coach with a puppet to run things until the protege is ready. If this is really what Al wants, he should hire Warren Sapp right now, or Tim Brown. I can’t imagine that there are many other former Raiders that still have close ties to the team that haven’t been away from the game for years.

As one of the guys who links to Just Blog Baby every Sunday, I can say that I am one of those Raider fans that does like Al Davis. Lame Kiffin tried to fire Rob Ryan, and Rob Ryan’s defense, while not as good as in 2006, has been good enough. Kiffin’s offense has not. The one area I disagree with Al Davis on is the constant hiring of young "innovators."
