According to a report by Jerry McDonald, Robert Gallery will miss the first two weeks of training camp after having undergone an emergency appendectomy.
The reports states that Gallery awoke with a 104 degree temperature one night last week and was taken to the hospital where the procedure was performed that same night.
When Gallery does make his way to camp, his participation will be limited. The incumbent starter at left guard will be brought along slowly as not to risk any further injuries while he recovers from the intrusive surgery.
Camp opens next week and the injury concerns are beginning to rear their ugly head. Gallery’s absence will intensify the emerging battles along the offensive line as the race to be among the last 53 standing kicks off this coming Thursday at 8:30am.
