How can you call that roughing ? Just like the tuck rule play and the Murphy endzone non-catch; refs rip the ball out of the player's hands and take over the game. I just watched it and he seemed to have less control of the ball than Murphy did last week. Apparently because he's getting credit for lunging for the goal line, though it's hard to argue that wasn't all part of making the catch. Perhaps if Murphy had caught his ball on the one instead of in the end zone he would have felt the need to lunge and been credited with a catch. I'm glad the call didn't affect the outcome of the Atlanta game, but it does make you wonder about the inconsistency of these calls. Did Atlanta challenge the ruling on the field? If they did they lost a timeout based on their interpretation of the official interpretation of the rule that was used to screw the Raiders last week. Search me.
