Fri, 03 May 2013 16:12:24 +0000 hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.4.1 By: PantyRaider http://justblogbaby.com/2009/10/18/raiders-defeat-eagles-with-dominating-defense/comment-page-1/#comment-1251 PantyRaider Wed, 21 Oct 2009 17:08:39 +0000 http://justblogbaby.com/?p=2672#comment-1251 I'm going to take my stance with the first two post here...Posts #'s 1-n-2 brought up the fact that Al Davis is taking the blame for everything but getting the credit for noting which is absolutely correct in this "IAAF"er society that now exist...(It's All Al's Fault)...Fans on a personal "HateTrip"... #1...Namndi was here for his entire time under "SOB" as "DC" who was for what ever reason afraid to blitz....For the record just look at him now in the "Dawg-Pound" and see more of the same...So Namdi saying he'll believe it when he sees it is totally understandable...He's NOT speaking that way now about "DC" Marshal is he.... #2...As an OldTimer I can remember an era of Blitz-Happy Al Davis....Or I should say his "DC"...So to say Al never allows the blitzes is speaking completely without knowledge of the Raiders "D"....Blitz stats were not kept but if you look at "Sacks" it's pretty easy to see the cause...The "85" Raiders had more sacks from NON-Front-Line Personnel than the "85" Bears who were known as the most Blitz happy team of that era...The same goes for the "84" Raiders...And for the record the Raider were a 3-4 "D" scheme from around "75" when Madden became "HC" until "Shell I" took us back to the 4-3 around "89"...14 seasons If I remember correctly.... #3...If you look at the Raiders "D" it has 2 basic philosophies under Al's ownership... 1st...Man-to-Man coverage and this is predominately the mainstay of the team however we have at times swayed slightly from this central theme... 2nd..."The "QB" must go down and he must go down hard"...Now that is in any form possible and it's up to the current "DC" and players to get that job done... #4...Al Davis is NOT calling the "D" plays so get the hell off that stupidity...Do you see him sending down singles with his OverHead Projector...Or maybe he has a PS3 on his lap and he's sending in formation to the "DC"...Now how freakin ridiculous is that...And sense you quote Namdi he also said Al is hardly ever seen so just how the hell do you suppose he is running that "D"...Not to mention he has to wear all these hats at such an advanced age so he must be "SuperMan".... It caught the Eagles completely unprepared. I wonder if the players went to Cable, or if an Al Davis confidante ( John Madden ? who has been sniffing around a lot lately ... )told Al to wake up and smell the zone blitz. Or Cable went to his boss and suggested a new defense. What's not interesting is Raider41510 insisting being critical of Al Davis means you are not a true Raiders fan. I disagree.
