I don't think that the receivers are all necessarily the problem. If you stuck most of these guys with Peyton Manning, they would be top deep threats in the league. As long as their quarterback situation is unresolved, the receivers will continue to struggle.

Curse? How many Super Bowls did Raiders win with Tim Brown? Zero. Tim was a great reciver but he dropped a lot of 3rd down passes and will never be as good as Cliff Branch or Fred Biletnikoff. Those guys knew how to perform when it really counted unlike Timmy. As a matter of fact, Tim went from WR1 to WR2 when Jerry Rice showed up, so that is all u need to know about Tim.

I have to question Al's real desire to win. I know he wants to win, but only by doing it his way. Any other way to him is unacceptable. This is the only reason to explain why Javon Walker is still on the bench. He has the best set of hands of healthy raider receivers, but he is on the sidelines. Reminds me of when Marcus Allen was standing on the sidelines with his helmet in hand, knowing he wasn't going to get on the field. You are not giving your quarterback any help, by not putting his very experienced receiver on the field. He needs to build his confidence and he doesn't trust any of his receivers except for his tight end. The excuse is he can't get separation. Tim Brown couldn't in his later years, but he still was on the field. By the looks of it, it doesn't appear that his present receivers can't get separation either.
