First off I have to say I'm a middle-aged white guy who has followed and attended Raiders games from the time they first played. Yep, I saw them before the Oakland Coliseum existed. I was a young rabid Raiders fan. After I left home, I ended up living in OC and was thrilled when Davis moved the Raiders to LA and I went to plenty of games down there. After the Raiders moved back to Oakland, my job situation changed and I ended up back in the Bay Area. Heaven.
However, since the move to LA and the SoCal embracing of all things Raiders, including specifically the gangs, the general impression others have is that we Raiders fans are all thugs. I never liked that and still don't. Oakland Raiders version 1 was blue collar and family friendly and Oakland Raiders version 2 seems to be more about youth and image. I've been to a few games here but I no longer go to games even though I could jump on BART and be there in less than 30 minutes. Steep ticket prices and many losing seasons has a little to do with it, but it's mainly because there is just too much craziness at the coliseum.
