I would like to extend to his family my deepest condolences. It is without a doubt that he left a profound influence on all the many athletes he came in contact with including myself and my brother, friends, coaches on all levels of competition from high school to pros who has had the distinct honor of knowing him. His influence on football will be remembered by us on the same level as was John Wooden's influence on basketball. His ideas were revolutionary, his coaching style was honorable and demanding and his results were most memorable.
