Former Raider JaMarcus Russell Arrested

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, former Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell was arrested Monday for possession of a controlled substance.

Schefter wrote on his Twitter page that according to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, Russell was found with codeine syrup, an illegal drug combining Jolly Ranchers and codeine.

Earlier this week, renowned quarterback coach Tom Martinez blamed the Raiders for Russell’s failures in the NFL. Maybe now people will realize that what happened to Russell is the result of only one person: JaMarcus Russell.
