A new talent taking off in Oakland.

The Second Coming of "Rocket" Ismail

As I was watching the game a few weeks ago when Jacoby Ford  single handedly owned, rented and sold the Chiefs, it reminded me of a past Raider named Raghib Ismail, a.k.a. “Rocket”.  Both are built about the same going 5 foot something and 180 lbs. Jocoby launches across the field like he is shot out of a cannon. Rocket used to burst across the field similar to a silver and black scud missile.  Jacoby has crazy (Al Davis Raider) speed and has a grittiness that we need at the WR position.  Jacoby has the tenacity of a Steve Smith (Carolina) and the skill set of a young Marvin Harrison. Jacoby run great routes and is not afraid to go up for the ball.  He shows flashes of brilliance every game and the scarry thing is he seems to be getting better. All of this and a great rookie attitude.

Jacoby’s return game is also something to marvel.  He is always one step away from breaking a deep one down the side lines. Every time he returns the ball, a hush overcomes the Coliseum crowd waiting for greatness. Jacoby is a product of the best draft in decades for the Raiders and a sign of great things to come. Ford is poised and ready to take over in Oakland. Grab a clipboard DHB!
