No Lo,

This is not an argument for who deserves to get in first. Tim Brown is on the ballot, therefore he deserves to get in first. I didn't get a vote and I'm not denying that there are others that should be in ahead of Brown. Fact of the matter is Brown's name is all over the Raider record book and among the All-time lists of the NFL. Now maybe you want to argue he wasn't as skilled as others...ok.

But conisering the fact that Brown never played with an elite QB until the end of his career, played with different coaches and was the only true weapon the Raiders had out wide during his days yet still couldn't be stopped says a lot.

Not taking anything away from anybody the played before Brown but it was a much different era and the guys that defended Brown were much better.

Belive me, I'm the first to say Rau Guy not being in the Hall makes the entire process a sham. But it is what it is and Brown is the lone Raider on the ballot.

Relax on the Tim Brown Hall of Fame talk. He was not the greatest Raiders receiver. He was not better than Belitnikof or Cliff Branch. Dave Casper, Raymond Chester and Todd Christensen were better clutch receivers. He was not the best receiver when the Raiders were good during the Gruden era. He was the 3rd and 4th option behind Jerry Rice, Charlie Garner, and, at times, Jerry Porter. Check out his Super Bowl stats. Maybe two catches for some chump change yardage. He had a lot of catches and yards when the Raiders were not very good or mediocre. You mentioned one Raider who deserves to be in the Hall far more than Tim Brown. Try Ray Guy. Warren Wells and Art Powell were far more dangerous Raiders receivers than Brown. Brown was a very good receiver for a long period of time. He may well deserve HOF consideration but not before Ken Stabler,Ray Guy and Cliff Branch. Tell me. Convince me that Tim Brown deserves to be in the HOF before Stabler, Guy, or Branch. Just as I thought. You can't.
