Daniel,

I think Seymour's tag number was around $12-million last year and Asomugh was due to make $16-million this coming year so no matter what the Raiders would have had to pay more.

I'm just going off of what Al said when he stated Aso's salary could afford two players. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but by giving Seymour a new deal and then saying that it just seems like Al doesn't feel Nnamdi is worth that much money again.

Look, this is one thing I'd be more than happy to be wrong about. I want Nnamdi back because for all he's done it just wouldn't feel right if this team makes it to the playoffs without him.

Also, remember that the Raiders have no first round draft pick this year. This is more money that they can use to sign an existing player, aka Nnamdi.

Your blog misses the fact that Seymour effectively made the same amount of money last year with Asomugha making 16 million. Plus, the year before that we had J. Russel's contract on the books for 10 mill. If anything, re-signing Nnamdi at his old contract price would make the payroll equal to what it was last year.

Mike Lombardi is a dbag. Thats why he no longer works for an NFL franchise.

Nnamdi will get 6 years for 80 mill (30 guaranteed). Watch!
