Louis Murphy Charged with Illegal Possession of Viagra

Early Sunday morning Louis Murphy was charged with three misdemeanors in Gainesville, Florida. The former Gator was hit with one count of failure to obey an officer, another count of resisting arrest without violence and for good measure possession of a drug without a valid prescription.

Now the first two counts are nothing much to write home about.

Murphy didn’t learn from Mario Henderson’s fatal mistake of having an SUV with a knocking system. That is always a magnet for profiling police out to bust the noise pollution criminals.

As for resisting arrest without violence…yeah…there is a good reason why that’s a misdemeanor. Not really sure how you even resist arrest without violence. Maybe Muprhy was cooperative in a passive aggressive way. You know, following every order given while simultaneously suggesting what a massive waste of everyone’s time it is.

As for the third charge, that is where it gets tricky.

Upon searching Murphy’s vehicle the proactive officers found an unmarked bottle of pills. Pills for which Murphy didn’t have a prescription. Well…at least a prescription he didn’t want his girlfriend to know he had.

Turns out Murphy was in possession of Viagra. Not the kind of PED that is going to get the attention of Roger Goodell. Unless, of course, the commish swings that way.

Mike Florio speculates that all charges will be dropped and that’s how the situation will end. But this is just the beginning of all the jokes Murphy is sure to hear plenty of on the road if and when we ever get football again.
