If there is an NFL preseason then the Raiders will be doing minimal travel. Today the preseason schedule was announced and the Silver and Black will not leave the Pacific Time zone during the first month of organized football.
With the exception of one game, the official dates and times aren’t yet cemented. However the opponents are etched in stone.
Oakland hosts the Arizona Cardinals during the second week of August, make a trip across the Bay to battle the 49ers and return home to host the Saints before making their now annual trip to Seattle.
All of these opponents have become very familiar in recent years. The Battle of the Bay reaches its 11th consecutive year in the preseason while the renewal of the former AFC West rivalry with the Seahawks would mark the sixth straight preseason clash.
If we do get a preseason then the contest against New Orleans will be played on August 28th as it is slated to be a nationally televised affair.
