The NFL is taking a different approach to the second round of the draft this year. As part of the now four day spectacle, former greats from each team will announce their team’s pick in round two.
Current coach and Hall of Famer Willie Brown has earned the honor for the Raiders.
Since Oakland doesn’t currently have a first round pick, Brown stands to be the man that will usher in the newest Raider.
No telling who that will be or when he’ll officially become a Raider. That is all lost in the current lockout.
As for Brown it’s just nice to see him still representing the silver and black. Just over a year ago he unceremoniously announced his retirement to a few reporters while leaving the office one day. Maybe that was just a joke as Brown is still currently employed by Davis as a DB coach.
