Jason Campbell might be the incumbent starter but he’s not the long term solution for the Raiders. Most mock drafts have the Raiders picking a quarterback at some point and chances are it could be as early as the second round. Projected Starters: Chaz Schilens*, Louis Murphy, Jacoby Ford *If Healthy There is no doubt that Chaz Schilens is the best of the bunch when it comes to Raider receivers. His size, speed, route running, hands and aggressive nature make him the best weapon in the passing game not named Zach Miller. Of course, the big ‘if’ with Schilens is if he can stay healthy. We’re still stuck in football limbo but that doesn’t mean Michael Huff can’t try and secure work once a new CBA is in place. As the Raiders were racing against the clock to secure key free agents before the lockout, Huff was left out. Now the safety has designs on returning to his native Texas to play for the Cowboys. All signs indicate Huff could be a great fit for Jerry’s Boys. Huff is from Texas, went to school in Austin and for good measure his original NFL defensive coordinator, Rob Ryan, will be on the sidelines for the Cowboys. [...]

Early Sunday morning Louis Murphy was charged with three misdemeanors in Gainesville, Florida. The former Gator was hit with one count of failure to obey an officer, another count of resisting arrest without violence and for good measure possession of a drug without a valid prescription. Now the first two counts are nothing much to write home about. Murphy didn’t learn from Mario Henderson’s fatal mistake of having an SUV with a knocking system.
