Last week we learned that Jason Campbell and Richard Seymour were organizing team workouts during this never ending lockout. Today Jason La Canfora made us aware just where the 25-30 Raiders expected to attend will be training.
If you had your money on the ATL then you just got paid.
No specific place has been mentioned but reports confirm that Camp Campbell will be held in Atlanta.
That’s the good news.
The bad news – aside from this lockout being pushed well into June – is that only players currently under contract will be in attendance. 25 Raiders who are currently in contract limbo will not attend leaving the likes of Nnamdi Asomugha, Michael Bush and Zach Miller to continue training on their own.
As Campbell points out, for those in attendance, this is a great opportunity to help lay the foundation in the unexpected event we get back to business of playing instead of negotiating football.
“It’s going to be a great chance to build on that camaraderie. I’ve been throwing to Murph and some of my receivers up here all offseason, and to get everybody together down there will be great.
“We’ll start around 10 every morning and do our workouts and get on the field, and then every night we’ve got plans for everybody to go out to eat together and just spend time together and bond off the field. We’ll have a lot of stuff for the guys to do.”
