The good people over at SeatGeek are running a little contest amongst NFL bloggers. The SeatGeek NFL Ticket Giveaway is putting up $200 worth of tickets to the blogger that correctly predicts the date the lockout will end.
I have faith that the NFL wouldn’t allow a season to be ruined or completely written off just because its owners and players can’t find some way to keep getting richer. Therefore I’m going to say that we’ll be back to the business of football by July 20th. Yes, that is very late in the game and could put some preseason games in jeopardy.
While there have been some good reports lately I’m still not ready to believe that everything will be all wrapped with a nice bow on it in less than two weeks. But we’ll see. This is one issue I hope to be very wrong on. The fact this lockout has lasted this long is still a little shocking so I don’t see any reason why it will end anytime soon.
