The idea that TP should become a tight end is moronic. Can he block? Can he run routes? Can he find holes in zone coverage? Can he catch the ball in traffic? Can he catch at all? Just because he is an athlete doesn't mean he can just switch positions. I know, I know. Antonio Gates blah blah blah. He is a QB. His best chance is there. He's been playing quarterback since he was like twelve- and people think he can just run a 4.3 something and be a dominant tight end? This is the NFL. Its a horrible time to try and learn a new position. Even if he were converted to tight end he'd end up at QB anyways because the other three QB's on the roster would end up in traction from hits they received from rushers abusing TP when he would have to make a block-and I'm sure in theory they would guard against this by splitting him wide and whatnot-but you can't handicap him forever- he's going to have to play the whole position. They smartest thing? Let him develop and learn for 2-3 years as a QB-the Raiders are dumb though and won't do that-he will be the starting QB next year. But stop acting like he can just be a TE or a WR. Its an insult to the league and the players at those postions that work their ass off to be able to play in those spots.
