As I surfed through the Raiders “final” roster cuts, I was not staggered by who we kept and who we left at the curb for the recycle truck. I was glad that the experiment named David Ausberry is still on the team. The wide receiver conversion to tight end is very arduous. The pride of Lemoore, California must be showing lots of upside and promise at practice. However, the Walter McFadden experiment has come to an end. This last game summed up his whole career as a Raider. When he was on the field, he looked like he was in a foreign country looking for just one person who spoke English. Confused and disorientated. A couple of surprises cuts for me were long time Raider Sam Williams and fan favorite Stevie Brown.
Apparently Trent Edwards lost the back up quarterback sweepstakes to Kyle Boller. I don’t know how I feel about that. Neither one jumped out at me as a competent NFL QB! I was also disappointed that Terrelle Pryor did not take a single snap the last game. I watched the whole train wreck of a pre-season game for nothing. Hue please don’t baby him like Kiffin did to “Mr. Purple Drink’. That worked out well.
Like many of you, I waiting in the cut for the Raiders to make a big move on a free agent or a trade. Would love to see something of the blockbuster nature. Maybe Al Davis has a trick up his leisure suits sleeve. I doubt it will happen, but like I said, I waiting.
