Yesterday Al Michaels was gracious enough to descend from the douche-scented heavens and grace us mere mortals with his presence. The 60-some-odd gasbag, sporting a grin that screamed “I just climaxed to the sound of my own voice”, gave TMZ his opinion on the Raiders and Al Davis.
According to Michaels the Raiders won’t win another Super Bowl so long as Davis is in the picture. In hopes of putting an end to this senseless Al on Al violence Hall of Famer Michael Irvin intervened to share his opinion on the matter. Check the TMZ exclusive video below and we’ll circle back after the jump.
Now far be it for me to stick up for Mr. Davis and the Raiders. I’m but one of the countless members of Raider Nation who just so happens to have a blog. Irvin, on the other hand, knows a little something about what it takes to be a champion. He of three Super Bowl rings believes any team can win a title regardless of who is running the show.
I could be mistaken, but I swear Irvin goes as far as to say if the players are all on board they could win with “(Saddam) Hussein” running the show. I think that’s a bit of a reach. Hussein doesn’t impress me as a sports guy. Now Fidel Castro on the other hand…that’s a dictator who could build a Super Bowl champion for sure!
