After the first week of every NFL regular season every team has injuries to deal with. Consider the Raiders among the more fortunate. Many teams around the league are already dealing with the harsh reality of losing players for an extended period of time or the entire season all together. Oakland has a few walking wounded as well, luckily nothing that will threaten the season (knocking on wood).
Both Michael Huff and Jacoby Ford came away from Denver hobbling. Huff is struggling with a groin injury while Ford is dealing with a hamstring issue. Not much else is known of their situation at this time.
Chris Johnson also came off the field. He had surgery in camp for a groin issue so it’s not unreasonable to think he is still dealing with the post-effects of his procedure.
Many are pointing the finger of blame at the accelerated training camps for the rash of injuries throughout the league. Whatever the case the Raiders can count their lucky stars that they’ve made it through camp and the regular season opener without any serious issues.
