So far this season the Oakland Raiders are 1-for-1 in home sellouts. Thanks to heightened expectations and perhaps a morbid curiosity to see what Mark Sanchez might try to eat on the sideline, the Raiders-Jets contest on Sunday will not be blacked out locally.
This marks the first home sellout since last season’s AFC West battle with the Kansas City Chiefs. We all remember how that classic clash concluded.
We also remember how the last meeting in Oakland between the Raiders and Jets went too. Let’s hope this one ends on better note. It would be almost impossible for it to be any worse…right?
Let’s also not forget how the last home opener sellout ended too. That would be the last second loss to San Diego on Monday Night two years ago. Being that Hue Jackson was able to reverse the Monday curse in Denver I’m thinking he can do the same on Sunday.
