		<description>I am sorry, but football is football and the QB is just one member of 11. Everyone knows the risk if playing at this level.
Do I believe their are to many rules protecting the QB? Absolutetly. The officials should be lallowed to calll the game and most do a good job.

One rule should be left in place and that is you can&#039;t tackle the QB and DRIVE him head first into the turf. One violation is 15 yards, a second violation by the same player is 15 yard penalty and automatic ejection from the game and a $15,000 fine. That rule should prevent any player from intentionally pile driving a player namely the QB into the ground. However the Referee is the one who makes the call. Of course the guilty player has a right to make the call. The referee would have the right to review the play to determine if in fact the play was flagrant enough to qualify for the call.

I believe the game is being taken away from from the offiating crew and the game has become more technical.

I guess I am too much old school, where two teams lined up and played the game. The officials were allowed to call the game as they saw it. There will be mistakes of course, but the mistakes makes the game human if you understand what I am trying to say.

It just goes back to the old adage, &quot;SOMEDAY YOU EAT THE BEAR AND SOMTIMES THE BEAR EATS YOU!&quot; that means sometimes the calls go in your favor and sometimes they don&#039;t.

Just let the players play like they used to, it was a better game.&quot;

Protecting the QB has gone overboard in my opinion. So long as they don&#039;t try and hit the QB and screw him to the ground, then all is well.

However that is just opinion, no more no less.
