Raiders to Battle Broncos without Darren McFadden

No real surprise here. Hue Jackson has been playing it safe all year long with injuries so sitting his best weapon Sunday is about what we expected. Darren McFadden is officially out of action for the sold out clash with Denver.

Run DMC’s foot apparently hasn’t healed after a week of rest so he’ll take another few days to get ready for San Diego on Thursday night.

We’ve been down this path plenty of times with McFadden. If we ever see a full 16 game season out of McFadden I’m guessing a few Raider records will fall. But that is just wishful thinking at this point. While McFadden has the injury bug at least none of his knocks are of the career threatening type (knocking on wood as I type this).

In keeping with Coach Jackson’s motto – next man up. We’re all looking at you, Michael Bush.

Luckily the Raiders have two more solid runners behind McFadden. Bush has proven himself to be among the best backups in the league while Raider Nation has been dying to see rookie Taiwan Jones get more touches.
