Darren McFadden Looking Unlikely To Play Thursday

This is really nothing new for the Raiders, life without Darren McFadden. Makes you wonder what the team will do with Michael Bush once the season ends. But that is looking much too far down the line. Today we’re talking about Thursday. And when it comes to Thursday’s clash with the Chargers the Raiders will likely be without Run DMC again.

McFadden was absent from yesterday’s walkthrough. He has yet to truly test his foot since injuring it against the Chiefs nearly three weeks ago. All signs indicate McFadden will be out for at least another week.

How much longer the Silver and Black are sans McFadden remains to be seen.

The timing of McFadden’s injury couldn’t have come at a worse time. With the Raiders in QB limbo and needing to take the AFC West by the horns this is about as bad a time as there is to lose your MVP.

There are still plenty of weapons in place on offense…well…so long as Hue Jackson calls plays that require them to be on the field there are. Not all is lost.

Still this Thursday is a must win for Oakland. Three straight losses to divisional opponents would be a crushing blow at the midpoint of the season. After dominating the AFC West a year ago the Raiders are facing the reality of slipping out of contention no thanks to two terrible losses to rivals.
