Chiefs Gets Tebow’d, Raiders Get First Place

Necessity makes for some strange bed fellows. Now, I’m not saying I was rooting for the Broncos to beat the Chiefs today. But I wasn’t mad that Arrowhead got Tebow’d.

There is now other way to explain the way Kansas City got beat today. Tim Tebow continues to lead Denver to the most inexplicable victories possible. Touchdown Jesus is now 3-1 as a starter this season and suddenly has the Broncos in the thick of the AFC West race.

Of course everyone in the Wild West is looking up to the Oakland Raiders. Thanks to the Donks dominating in Kansas City the Silver and Black is now all alone in first.

Now there is no way of knowing just what the win in San Diego will ultimately mean. There is a lot to yet be determined. For all we know the Chargers could be the worst team in the division. We still don’t know much more than the Donkey brass knows either. They’re either being resurrected by Tebow or their being taken on a cruel journey. The Chiefs still know anything about what they are. Nothing new there.

We know for a fact that the Raiders now control their own playoff fate. Being atop the division this late in the season is something to be proud of but nothing to brag about. There is still much football to be played and plenty to be decided.

Enjoy looking at the standings this week. Chances are they’ll look much different seven days from now. Hopefully seeing the Raiders on top will be the only constant for the rest of this roller coaster season.

Tebow managed the game well and the receivers were responsible for a couple of those incompletions. He is 3-1 as a starter this year and finds a way to win. He is improving and will continue to do so. The schedule isn’t easy the rest of the way but they have a legitimate chance to finish 8-8 and that would be a huge success. The TD pass to Decker was gorgeous!

It continues to be a roller coaster style season for the Raiders, full of emotional ups and downs and a rotation of QBs, receivers and linemen not ever witnessed by a first place team.
But we ARE a FIRST PLACE Team! If momentum is rolling and timing heals some wounds we have a shot at making the playoffs for the first time in a decade.
The game against the Dolts was the first time both sides of the Team looked like Raiders! Keep it up and we will finally enjoy some football in January too.
