The Return of the Chaz

Many of you that caught the game on Sunday vs. the Chicago Bears saw a few things from the Raiders. The first thing I noticed was Carson Palmer’s outstanding play vs. a great Bears defense. The second thing I noticed was we did not have a single starting WR in the game. Besides that fact, Carson looked impressive. He threw a few passes off the mark but the guy has ONLY four games under his belt as a Raider. Cason quietly passed for over 3oo yards with an ugly 8.1 yards per average.

The one thing that kept us in the game was the resurgence of Chaz Schilens. You remember him? He’s about 8 feet tall and can run like the wind. Great hands and is as durable as a house of cards. Chaz really stepped up. His numbers don’t really show that (4 rec. for 58 yards) but he was clutch. Carson looked for him when we needed a vital catch and Chaz did not fail to take advantage of the big stage. There was even a Luis Murphy sighting during the 4th quarter.

Like I always tell me friends and the Raider haters, we are deep at wide receiver. Now that we have a legit number one quarterback, it doesn’t really matter who lines up, the Raiders will find a way to win! I’m craving seafood!
