If the FanSided NFL Network were a building then Brian Miller and his Miami Dolphins blog Phin Phanatic would be the foundation. My man has been dishing on the fish for some time now and his amazing efforts have helped create the best pit stop on the net for supporters of the Dolphins.
Tomorrow the Raiders take their talents to South Beach in hopes on continuing their win streak and taking another step closer to the playoffs.
Early in the year everyone was flogging the Dolphins. Well, since this is the NFL and we’re talking about paid professionals the Phins have flippered the switch and are now swimming with the sharks thanks to some inspired play recently. While their playoff hopes have gone the way of those poor porpoises slaughtered in The Cove, they are proving that the suck for Luck is not happening anywhere near Coconut Grove.
As usual we took our unusual approach to breaking down the opponent for this week by giving Brian our brain busting, side splitting, quirky questions.
Q: If the 2011 Dolphins season were a reality show which television series would it most resemble?
A: Survivor. Each week you watch the immunity necklace get handed out to another slacking player. Each night Tony Sparano keeps avoiding elimination. Its like keeping him around assures you a spot in the top three.
Q: Brandon Marshall in the end zone more than once or Dolphin jerseys with the name Barkley on the back: Which are you more likely to see this Sunday?
A: Marshall in the end zone. Too many fans in the AFC East hear USC and think Mark Sanchez.
Q: Bigger Miami franchise killer: Tony Sparano or Dexter Morgan?
A: Neither, the cartoon Dolphin on the side of the helmet…the football Gods can’t support that.
Q: If Chad Henne and Jason Campbell starred together in a buddy flick what would it be called and how would the movie end?
A: Grumpy old men part 4: Both end up bickering about having an opportunity to play in the NFL and getting saddled early with bad coaches that inevitably made them worthless. Needless to say it would come in just under the number of times Rex Ryans’ wife’s foot video.
And finally…the most important question of all…
Q: Reggie Bush: Start or Sit?
A: Depends…does your fantasy team have any other options?
