Okay Raider Nation, I feel like I’m in the twighlight zone. I feel like somebody put me in a time machine and sent me back to the Jamarcus Russell era. Who was that team dressed as the Oakland Raiders? Did the real team miss their flight? Oh ok, I get it, the real team never made it to the stadium. They got lost in traffic or partied a little too much on Miami Beach the night before! Whatever happened, happened. The team that took the fields on Sunday was not our team. I did not recognize one person wearing silver and black on Sunday.
This is what I saw on Sunday, I saw a Boller-esk Carson Palmer take the field. I saw no attempt at a run game. (Michael Bush, 10 rushes for 18 yards, 1.8 per carry) Once again I saw no creativity from our offensive play calling. I saw a tired and distracted defense. Even Hue Jackson looked like he had a hangover. Once again yellow handkerchiefs have plagued us at the worst times. Oh yeh, I also saw a phantom punch by our defensive team captain.
I got one question for the Raider Nation, is Miami’s defense that good or are we that bad? I am really at a loss for words. I know Miami has been hot as of lately but so have we.
The only bright spot of the game was a solid performance again by Chazeray “Chaz” Schilens who received 6 passes for 89 yards.
Raider Nation, I am saddened by what I saw on Sunday. I saw a team that has played so inspired all year play an un inspired football game. I saw a team flat and distracted by outside sources. I hope the team that played on Sunday was left at the airport in Miami.
Next week we play the Green Bay Packers. If the same team shows up that played this weekend we are in for a long day! Lets bounce back Nation! Keep the faith!
