Silver and Black Plague

Greeting Raider Nation.
I’m in a funk like I’m sure most of you are. I want to forget the last two weeks like it never happened. Where did my favorite all time sports franchise go? The ones that played inspired football in the name and memory of Al Davis all season. The team who came out and beat the Jets! The team that owned the AFC West last year. Who stole my team!

(And if I hear the name Tebow again, I might jump off the Bay Bridge!)

The injury bug has hit our beloved Oakland Raiders harder then I’ve ever seen. I mean it’s like the silver and black plague. We get one back and two more go down. WTF? Is the lack of the off season? Are we a cursed franchise? I turn the TV on every Sunday wondering which team is going to show up. Now I’m hoping we make it to the playoffs as a “wild card” instead of AFC champs so the Carson Palmer trade does not haunt us for two more years!

Times seem bleak Raider Nation but we can only hope for the best. We need to make the Detroit Lions feel unwelcome today. We need to regain “smart” bully status. (Not like Suh and Harrison who are being recognized for the idiots that they are.) We need the O.co to be rocking and rolling! We need the red hot Chargers to loose. We need someone to hit Tebow like he is the running back that he is (and a Denver Bronco loss). Hopefully, we turn a corner this week, or our season might be over.

Once again Sunday, I will fly my Raider flag outside my house. I will put on my Black Sunday shirt, flip on my TV and say a silent prayer to the NFL gods! We need an inspired game this week. We need to see that the season is NOT over. And we can also be happy we are not the Chiefs!

GO RAIDERS!
