Raiders Confirm Signing Of TE Tory Humphrey

Chuck Cook - US PRESSWIRE

His agent Tweeted the news yesterday but it wasn’t until today that the Raiders confirmed the signing of journeyman tight end Tory Humphrey.

If he makes the roster the Raiders will be Humphrey’s fourth stop in his seven year career. After being waved by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in ’05 Humphrey caught on with the Green Bay Packers were he spent three years playing under the watchful eye of Reggie McKenzie.

With just 11 catches to his name Humphrey isn’t being brought in as a long-term solution so much as he’s expected to push the Raiders’ collection of young and inexperienced tight ends. Safe to say that position will be the most wide open competition heading into camp.
