We’ve known for the longest that the San Diego Chargers feature the biggest bandwagon fans in all of football. As if their inability to sellout games when they were atop the AFC West wasn’t proof enough of how disinterested the city is in their own team now they’re going to the most drastic measures possible.
Our AFC West blogging rivals over at Arrowhead Addict were among a collection of Chiefs blogs that were contacted by the Chargers in hopes of recruiting rival fans to attend the November 1st Thursday Night affair between KC and SD.
Let that sink in for a hot second.
San Diego is such a sideline sports town that their NFL franchise is begging opposing fans to attend and shout obscenities at Crybaby Philip.
As of yet the Power Puff Bolts have yet to make the same move with any Raider blogs. But they know better than that.
Then again most every time the Raiders are in SD the game sells out as it turns into a de facto home game for the silver and black. If you’ve never been to Jack Murphy, or whatever that eyesore is called these days, for a Raiders-Chargers clash then you just don’t know how much of a takeover it is.
Safe to say there are infinitely more Raiders fans that are willing to drive, fly or even walk to the games in San Diego than there are passive Charger fans that show up for this bitter battle.
So enjoy the local blackout Bolt supporters…all two of you. At least you won’t have to worry about this embarrassment for much long now that your crummy franchise is almost a lock to move to Los Angeles.
