It’s not exactly earth shattering news being that more than likely Korey Bosworth will be gone about as quickly as he arrived in Oakland. The former UCLA Bruin has yet to suit up in a regular season NFL contest after two years of toiling around various camps. So don’t expect to see the name Bosworth on the back of a silver and black jersey this season.
None the less the Raiders signing of Korey is news only because of his infamous uncle – Brian Bosworth. Some of you may know him as The Boz, a pop culture icon of the 80s that made more noise during his B-list movie career than he did during his time as a linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks.
The addition of Korey, who has a twin brother named Kyle playing for Jacksonville, does raise one interesting point of business though. He just so happens to play linebacker and given the uncertain future of both Rolando McClain (possible suspension) and Aaron Curry (injury) it does stand to reason that Reggie McKenzie is on the lookout for more talent to add to his already thin corp.
