Remembering Al Davis One Year After His Passing

One year ago today the football world lost one of its all time great visionaries and Raider Nation lost is father. On October 8th, 2011, the Oakland Raiders franchise changed overnight and has since undergone one of the most drastic overhauls in sports history.

Since the passing of Al Davis the Raiders from top to bottom have become anew. While many of the players and coaches that were respectively drafted, signed or hired by Mr. Davis are no longer with the franchise his indelible mark left on the game will forever remain.

More importantly are the countless impressions Al Davis left on individuals and families through many of his deeds done off the field.

No need to rehash all Davis has accomplished today. We went through plenty of that last year. Anyone that spent yesterday watching wall to wall NFL football is well aware of what Mr. Davis has done for the game.

So instead, I’d like to open up JBB to all of the great readers that visit here daily. Feel free to drop us a line here in the comments section, via Twitter or Facebook and share whatever memories or thoughts you might have of Mr. Davis on this the first anniversary of his passing.
