The bad news on the injury front keeps growing for the Raiders. Today Tommy Kelly joined the walking wounded as he sat out practice (actually stood out would be more appropriate) today due to a sore foot.
Steve Corkran is looking at the glass half full though. In his post on the San Jose Mercury’s Raiders blog Corkran points out that Kelly was in sweats but was standing during practice which he notes would normally not be ideal for anyone dealing with a sore foot…especially not on a cold day. So maybe that is an indication Kelly will be good to go in Atlanta.
Between Kelly and Richard Seymour the once impressive defensive tackles of Oakland’ D-line have been very unimpressive through four games. If Kelly can’t go Sunday then Desmond Bryant and rookie Christo Bilukidi can expect expanded roles.
