Aaron Curry Could Play Sunday

Jason Tarver’s defense has quietly improved. Shhhh…don’t tell anyone. Let’s just keep that as our Silver and Black secret. Granted the performance against the Jags isn’t exactly something to brag about. However the effort given against the Falcons sure was something to tell the folks about…aside from that last drive of the game of course.

Either way we have seen much better performances out of Tarver’s unit the last two weeks so it only stands to reason that things will improve as players become healthy.

Losing both starting corners and a starting linebacker never helped the cause. Thankfully the linebacker that has been MIA will be ready to play soon enough…possibly Sunday.

Aaron Curry’s continued progress has Dennis Allen considering suiting up his versatile linebacker for his first action of the regular season. Curry has seen time at all linebacker spots in practice so it stands to reason his presence could prove very valuable given Oakland’s recent success.

With Rolando McClain finding a new life in a reduced role and Mile Burris making strides in an expanded role it’s only a matter of time until Curry gets his chance to earn a steady job.

This Sunday’s clash with Kansas City is going to prove vital in where Oakland is headed as the midpoint nears. Getting as much help as possible is very much a priority during this crucial stretch.
