Dennis Allen Leaves Raiders To Be With Ailing Father

These are tough times for Raider Nation. But that is petty when compared to the struggles Dennis Allen is currently enduring. The first year head coach of the Raiders has taken a leave of absence from the team effective immediately to be with his ailing father in Texas.

There is no official report on what is troubling Allen’s father but his condition is said to be “gravely ill”.

Our thoughts are with Coach Allen and his family.

Greg Knapp will step in for Allen who is expected to be back in town by Wednesday. However this is a short week for the Raiders who play again Thursday against Denver.
