Dennis Allen Expects Darren McFadden To Play Next Sunday

The problems are mounting for the Oakland Raiders. Absolutely nothing has gone according to plan this season unless going to the back of the NFL line was the plan all along.

On Thursday yet another mistake filled game of football yielded an all to a familiar result. ]

Something else that is all too familiar for Raider Nation is seeing Darren McFadden sustain injuries. That too happened Thursday as Run DMC aggravated the same ankle that kept him out of action for the last month.

So if you’re looking for a reason to believe that things can change over the course of the last three weeks of the season then perhaps Dennis Allen’s stance on McFadden’s latest setback is a good sign. Allen fully expects to have his most underutilized asset back in action next Sunday when the rival Kansas City Chiefs come to town.

“I don’t think it’s an injury that’s going to keep him out any time.”

Obviously this season is already over in fact it ended over a month ago when Tampa Bay took all the football life out of the East Bay. That said there is still something left for this team and coaching staff to prove.

As we all know the Greg Knapp experiment has failed…again. However if Knapp is looking to prove his boss correct in scrapping everything that worked for a system that has ruined a once potent offense then he’ll need to show he has some understanding of how to get the most of McFadden.  So far that hasn’t happened. Of course it can’t happen at all if McFadden isn’t playing.

Perhaps McFadden bouncing back from another setback is a good sign. We’ll have to wait and see. Then again for all we know this could be the final straw that breaks the back of Knapp.

Worst it has been in years. How pathetic can the team get. It is not just bad football, but it is almost impossible to watch the comedy of errors that makes up Raiders football these days. If they do not make some changes in the coaching staff and personnel, it will be worse next year. Might as well start playing Pryor to see if he can make a difference. I don’t see how it could hurt anything, this team absolutely sucks!!!
