In all likelihood Raider Nation has seen the last of Rolando McClain in Silver and Black. For the second straight week the disappointing top pick of Oakland’s 2010 draft class will be in street clothes on Sunday. McClain is among the inactive Raiders for today’s contest in Charlotte against the Carolina Panthers.
Since returning from his two-game suspension McClain has been relegated to a role of non-importance working as a running back with the scout team in practice. The end is certainly near. It would be shocking if the team let him dress for the final game of the season. In fact it would be insulting.
At this point the writing is on the wall. Whatever Reggie McKenzie has planned be it trade or out right release I’m sure all parties involved want it to happen sooner than later.
