Anyone that has gone to a Raiders-Chargers game in San Diego knows that more often than not that game becomes a home date for the Silver and Black. The combination of Raider Nation’s presence in Southern California with the bandwagon nature of the Chargers fan base makes for a SoCal reunion for the holdovers from the days of the L.A. Raiders.
So it’s not a real surprise that with the Raiders in town for the season finale the Chargers have avoided a blackout for the first time since the beginning of November. That’s good news for those of us here in SoCal that aren’t making the trek down to San Diego as we’ll be able to see the Silver and Black for the last time in 2012.
It’s also good news for the two real Chargers fans out there as they’ll be able to witness the bitter end of the Norv Turner error. In fact some theorize that the Chargers have avoided blackout because of the number of people that will be in attendance to get one last chance to blame Tuner for their team’s underachievement.
Whatever the case the one Charger fan out there that actually cares enough will able to watch their favorite team play on local television. You’re welcome, Charger fan.
