Mike Goodson Fined $7,875 For Ejection

It was one of the most inexplicable double-ejections you’ll ever see in an NFL game. During the season finale against the San Diego Chargers Mike Goodson was tossed for mixing it up with Takeo Spikes. The two grabbed each other’s facemasks and thus both were ejected.

Now no punches were thrown. Before the situation escalated men like Terrelle Pryor stepped in to end the skirmish. Yet and still both men were shown the shower.

Now both men have been shown the amount they owe for their transgressions. Goodson and Spikes were hit with $7,875 fines last week for their ejections.

Not a massive amount when compared to some of the fines men like Richard Seymour have had to pony up for being ejected. None the less it is money lost for what was pretty much a nothing occurrence. These types of interchanges occur every Sunday of NFL action. With no punches being thrown dueling personal fouls seemed the best and only necessary solution. But that’s not the case and this is how Goodson will conclude his last bit of league business for 2012.
