Raiders Sign Veteran LB Kevin Burnett

Dennis Allen hasn’t made public the news of the Raiders switching to a 3-4 defensive scheme but one need only read between the lines to know that’s what is happening. While the Raiders have been largely invisible in their free agency dealings the signings that have been made have all been on defense with the majority being linebackers.

So the news of Kevin Burnett joining the Silver and Black isn’t much of a surprise.

In inking Burnett the Raiders have acquired yet another versatile linebacker capable of playing different roles in what is shaping up to be a shift to the 3-4.

3-4, 4-3, a mixture of both, whatever is the most conducive for
the players we have kept & just acquired. No more excuse though Dennis Allen; Cause at the end of the day a head coach is a leader of men & leads his team no matter what that teams personnel is comprised of. Just Win Baby!

The Raiders just picked up another defensive player, and I’m excited for the fact we are putting our chips down on D! Now we still need defensive backs & hopefully acquire some young talent Reggie is known to find, or pick up an impact/star player through the draft. I have no problem with putting it all on the D & keeping my fingers crossed we at least wreak havoc defensively like teams of old! A good D gives an mediocre offense a fighting chance. Get MEAN Oakland & JUST WIN BABY!
