For a trade involving a backup quarterback this Matt Flynn situation sure is taking forever and a day to be resolved. So maybe “forever” is putting extras on it being that it’s only been days. None the less the amount of time its taking to finalize a deal that supposedly has been had been finalized days ago yet is still reported as being finalized is finally getting annoying.
Improper grammar aside, did any of that make sense?
If not then good, that seems to be what both the Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks wants. Neither side has showed its hand as of yet with only a few rumored details on the deal trickling out once news first spread.
For Reggie McKenzie he gets to continue to build his version of Green Bay West while Seattle rids itself of an unnecessary free agency move.
Flynn was thought to be a hot commodity last season as Seattle landed the prized free agent. Then the draft happened and Russell Wilson came to town. Now Flynn will get the opportunity to pick up where he left off last offseason by going into camp with the chance to be a starting QB.
Of course Flynn still has to beat out Terrelle Pryor who is clearly not the man the Raiders want under center. And, oh yeah, there’s still this whole Carson Palmer mess to be resolved.
So, basically, nothing has been finalized in a situation that is anything but final.
