It is that wonderful time of year again, when the NFL gears up for a brand new season.  Along with the NFL gearing up, Raider Nation is preparing themselves for the road that lies ahead.  It is a road that we, the Raider Nation, are all too familiar with.  See, due to the fact that the Oakland Raiders haven’t played well over the past 10 years, the NFL, other fans, media moguls, and pundits have now taken it upon themselves to bash the Raiders fan base.  I guess they think that they can break us, or they think they can get us to stop rooting for our team, the Raiders.

This is the same song and dance only with different instigators.  Yet, the Raider Nation holds true to their team, unlike other fan bases.  Yes, we get angry when our team loses, but we are fans.  That’s what fans do, they cheer their team to victory and scold them when they lose, but we never lose faith in our team.  This is our team.  The same team we have fought for and died for since 1961.  All fans from all different walks of life stand shoulder-to-shoulder on Sundays and become equal.  Isn’t that what this country is about, equality.  No matter what race, color, creed, gender, or religious denomination a person claims to be, we, the Raider Nation, are all the same when we don our beloved Silver and Black colors.  Nobody will ever take our pride away from us!
