Michigan-Notre Dame: NFL prospects to watch tonight at the Big House

Notre Dame and Michigan are about to kick off what is potentially the final game in their rivalry between each other. Under the lights at The Big House the hatred between Michigan and Notre Dame will be at an all time high as the last chance at bragging rights is up for grab.

Naturally with two of the oldest and most storied NCAA football schools hitting the field there are a handful of potential NFL draft picks. Here is the lowdown on three of them.

Notre Dame

Louis Nix, DT, Junior: Probably the best interior lineman in the country, Nix will be a likely 1st round pick next year and is a serious stopper in the middle of the line. Nix is 6-2, 325, but moves with the swiftness of a linebacker. He forced a fumble against Michigan last year and will likely be a huge factor tonight.

Stephon Tuitt, DE, Junior: Along with Nix, Stephon Tuitt adds to what is a very good Fighting Irish line that is blessed with two likely high first round NFL draft picks. Tuitt is a 300 beast of a man who had 13 tackles for loss last year and 12 sacks. Think the underrated Jadevon Clowney when you think of Stephon Tuitt.

Taylor Lewan, OT, Senior: First round lock, and probably a top 10 pick Taylor Lewan would have gone in the Top 10 if he came out last year. Lewan managed Clowney last season which has built his hype, the franchise tackle will be tested once again by Nix and Tuitt and a very good Fighting Irish defense even without Manti T’eo.
