Sio Moore suffers concussion in car accident, questionable for Monday

Oakland might be without the services of their third round draft pick on Monday when the Raiders take on the Denver Broncos on prime time.

Sio Moore was reported to be diagnosed following a concussion that stemmed from a car accident Moore was involved in prior to flying to Denver for Monday Night Football.

Moore was was involved in a car accident on Saturday morning before the team left for Denver.  He was then diagnosed with a concussion by team doctors, but was deemed able to make the charter flight for Monday night’s game against the Denver Broncos. He was added to the team’s injury report and is listed as questionable. CSNBayArea’s Scott Bair reported.

Moore will have to clear the league’s procedures for consussion safety protocol before playing against Denver, but the linebacker has tweeted that he is confident that he will be on the field.

A scary moment for the young Moore might set the Raiders defense back at the worst possible time as defensive coordinator Jason Tarver has been planning for the red hot Peyton Manning. Kaluka Maiava would play in Moore’s place should he not be cleared, but Raider Nation will be wishing Moore a quick recovery as he is vital to the Oakland pass rush and getting to Manning tomorrow night.
