CSN Bay Area analysts Bill Romanowski and Lorenzo Neal say the Raiders should sign Tim Tebow

Terrelle Pryor’s MCL sprain has his status for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans in doubt. With the Raiders down to one quarterback on their current roster in Matt McGloin if Pryor can’t go, the Raiders are left in a situation where they may need to grab a quarterback in case of emergency.

The logical move would be practice squad quarterback and fourth round draft pick Tyler Wilson, who has been waiting to join the fulltime roster after being the odd man out of the Pryor, McGloin, Flynn training camp battle. Wilson does hold the drawback of being a potential target of a waiver wire claim from a team desperate for a quality quarterback (Green Bay comes to mind) but could easily be put back onto the roster if Pryor’s MCL sprain is more serious than being reported.

CSN Bay Area analysts Bill Romanowski and Lorenzo Neal think the answer comes from a more divine path.

They think it is Tebow Time for the Oakland Raiders.

In the video from the former Raider and San Diego Charger talked about the Raiders lack of red zone punch costing them the win on Sunday in New York and when talking about emergency quarterbacks they brought up the infamous Florida quarterback and former Denver Bronco.

It is very possible that Romanowski and Neal were joking around in an attempt to stir the pot. I guess we can thank them for the Tebow Nation pageviews, but I don’t think we are going to be seeing quarterback Jesus in Silver and Black anytime soon.

In other news Jack Cornell was waived once again. So there could be a roster move within the next 24 hours. My money is on Tyler Wilson.

Before I heard that, I had the utmost respect for their opinion. Now i’m wondering if perhaps they smoked a little too much weed and, or drank a little too much alcohol before coming out and saying the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard in my life. Tim Tebow was a joke as a football player and that’s the reason nobody has picked him up. He was lucky as a bronco. Lucky and nothing else. A failure with the Jets and the patriots didn’t see anything in him to their benefit at all. you could pretty much put him in the same category as “JaMarcus Russell”. The one labeled “promising QB flops”. If they sign Tim Tebow I wouldn’t give a shit as long as it cost them next to nothing and we didn’t have to cut anyone for him, but if they started him over Pryor I would throw my 63 inch plasma TV to the ground and stomp on it 25 times and that’s a tall order considering it’s the gateway to my sanctuary during football season. I’ve suffered through enough Raiders harebrained ideas and now it’s time to grow up and take this game serious. That’s why Reggie McKenzie was hired, to stop the stupid decision-making and so far Flynn was a stupid decision, let’s not make another.

I think calling him a QB Jesus was completely out of line and very unprofessional to attack a person’s religious beliefs, and if not, prejudice and descrimination Is a law suit to publically attack what is called a constitutional right and defimattion of character. Ok he may not be the next Peyton Manning, but that’s as far as you should have taken that. It’s offensive on many levels!

Totally agree. Let’s not add to our problems. If Terrelle just can’t do it, put in Matt and see what happens. The 2014 Draft will be here before we know it. We don’t need anymore NFL busts!

Not taking any of this seriously. Tebow is gone and hopefully for good. Meanwhile, I would like to see Wilson and McGloin can do before the next draft. I hope Wilson can be the guy but I have my doubts.
