The Oakland Raiders will have less ill will to Tennessee Titans Michael Griffin as rookie tight end Mychal Rivera cleared the NFL’s concussion tests and is expected to play on Thursday when the Raiders travel to Dallas as opponents in the Cowboys annual Thanksgiving showdown according to CSN Bay Area’s Scott Bair.

“I’m feeling good,” Rivera said. “I just took a shot right there to the head. Basically, they pulled me out of the games for safety precautions. I went home and felt good last night. I woke up this morning feeling normal. I saw the neurologist today, talked to a lot of doctors and they fully cleared me.”

The Raiders will also be expecting the returns of two Raiders who were once the cornerstones of the Silver and Black offense. Darren McFadden is expected to return at running back while Jared Veldheer is expected to make his first regular season appearance at left tackle on Thursday.

Both won’t be expected to play the whole game, Veldheer will likely be working on shifts as he builds his cardio back up while McFadden will be surely losing snaps to the surging Rashad Jennings who will more than likely be the first string back on Thursday.

    We need this guy.
DMC, get your job back dude. C’mon

Rivera is sic. Besides Rivera being a rookie I don’t know why we keep starting Musturd er whatever his name is haha.

  • James K

I guess Matrod can block and Rivera can catch ( occasionally), either. One is no stand out threat TE. But we haven’t had that since we shipped what’s his name to Seattle.

DMC is toast. I don’t know why fans keep thinking he will make a difference. The Raiders are better with Jennings carrying the rock.

Cause we think as soon as we let someone go, they hit their prime. Cause doesn’t it seem like dudes play better when they leave Oakland?? We are done wit DMC, truly done!! But, DmC if you’re listening…. Pleases help us beat Dallas AT LEAST.. I hope Latavius Murray breaks out next year cause we need a #1 RB. And WR AND….
