Raider Nation often likes to bemoan the early morning talk shows for their lack of respect for the Silver and Black, especially when it comes to when the major networks talking heads give their weekly selections. A time of most pregame shows that the Raiders usually don’t get a lot of love.
On Thanksgiving Day, a former Raider had the Black Hole’s back as Oakland travels to Dallas to take on America’s Team.
Former Raiders legend Howie Long, a staple of FOX’s pregame show, couldn’t help but showing his roots on Thursday morning. Long, one of the best defensive players in the franchise’s history, avoided the Cowboys becoming a consensus pick by calling his shot with an upset.
The Raiders passing offense is much improved under Matt McGloin and the Cowboys have one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL, missing key defensive back Sean Lee. Perhaps Howie is a fan of the rookie.
